Prayers - Through the Saints

Remember O most gracious Virgin Mary that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided. Into your loving hands we place the safety, peace and welfare of our beloved country which is dedicated to you under the title of the Immaculate Conception; as its powerful, loving Patroness, protect, defend and restore to this nation a true, just and enduring peace. Be thou O most holy Virgin as in other times of distress, our help, our protection, and our safeguard. Amen.

O Lord, make haste to help me.
Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

Heavenly Patron, in whose name I glory, pray always for me to God.  Strengthen me in faith, establish me in virtue, guard me in the conflict,  that I may conquer the vicious enemy and reach eternal glory. Amen.

Father,
I abandon myself into your hands; do with me what you will.
Whatever you may do, I thank you:
I am ready for all, I accept all.
Let only your will be done in me, and in all your creatures.
I wish no more than this, O Lord.

Into your hands I commend my soul;
I offer it to you
with all the love of my heart,
for I love you, Lord,
and so need to give myself,
to surrender myself into your hands,
without reserve,
and with boundless confidence,
for you are my Father.

-- St. Charles de Foucauld

May God the Father bless us
May Christ take care of us
the Holy Ghost enlighten us all the days of our life.
The Lord be our defender and keeper of body and soul,
both now and for ever, to the ages of ages.

-- St. Ethelwold

Hope of the Future

The masses are the hope of the future for the potentialities of sacrifice, which is essential to the preservation of a nation in time of trouble, is greater in them than in the intelligentsia who too often think they are serving the nation when they are only indulging in sociological adventurism. It is character, not learning, that makes a nation great.
